Dearest,

I'm writing this letter to you in hopes that you find me. I know that it's a bit odd, but I hoped that maybe you might see this short note and see that I have been looking for you.

It could be that you have just left a place I've entered or that you may have fallen asleep on the other side of town. Maybe you've just been busy and just now notice that I'm not there.

I wanted to tell you that I am waiting for you and that when we see each other, the day will not seem to last long enough and the laughter and smiles will bring that warmth we miss in winter.

During your absence, I've been keeping busy working everyday, maybe sometimes too long and hard. I spend my leisure time shopping at thrift stores and antique malls. I've found a few treasures along the way that I'm proud of.

I spent some time with another, but hope your not jealous of the past. I keep company with few friends, but they are a joy and I know you'll like them too. There are days that we play cards or take time to enjoy the sunset with a good conversation.

My darling, I am eager to see you and feel your embrace. If it takes you a moment to recognize me, it will be alright. I've been patient and know that the day will come.

I know your hopelessly romantic, faithful and true. You enjoy the simple things in life and that family means the world to you. Great movies, singing in the car and road trips are but a few things we can look forward to.
